Course Objectives It enables that student assess factors that affect health, learn the basic concepts of health and health promotion, acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the development of the health of the individual, the family and the society, clutch the importance of the health protection and health development, learn the responsibilities of the nurse in this regard, prevent ill health care practices.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;

  • Explain the role of the nurse in health promotion and improvement
  • Identify some health related models
  • Define health related organizations
Course Description Health related concepts, the dimensions of health, conditions and risk factors affecting health, health protection and development and the role of the nurse, healthy lifestyle behaviors, quality of life, holistic (holistic) health, theories and models of health and health promotion, national and international health organizations, health promotion policies and strategies, development of health behaviors in society and health education.
